To be member
A member of the (J.T.A.) should fulfill the following:
A) To be of a Jordanian nationality. However, The Administrative Board may consider non-Jordanian membership applications if the acceptance of such members serves the purposes of the Association. The percentage of the non-Jordanian shall not exceed 20% of the total number of the Association’s members. If the applicant is of a non-Arab nationality, the approval of the absolute majority of the congress should be obtained.
(B) To be of good behavior and conduct, to maintain all his civil rights and not to be convicted of any offense infringing honor.
(C) To hold an academic qualification, a Bachelor degree at least, in translation from an accredited university, or to have the same degree in any other field of specialization provided that he/she has published translated works, or to have a significant experience in translation.
The main requirements for joining the association are:
1. Holding a university degree in one of the language-related fields, or
2. Having substantial experience in translation.
please fill out the association membership application completely, then provide your personal information, and attach the following:
1. A personal photo
2. Copies of academic certificates (authentication is not required)
3. A copy of your national ID or passport
4. Copies of experience certificates, if available
5. Payment of the membership and subscription fee, amounting to 30 Jordanian Dinars
6. Payment of 5 Jordanian Dinars for the issuance of the JTA ID card .
7. Upon acceptance of your membership, you may personally obtain a stamp.
